:::SDC::: #80 Out with the Old, In with the New

It's New Year's Eve and I hope you all will have a wonderful day and a good start into the New Year 2013.
I've planed to do an Art Journal during 2013 and today I show you the front page. As I intend to create this journal together with Herr Mayer ;) the cover has a lot of green, surely his favorite color.
The journey began with coloring the cover with white gesso and then some acrylic layers with green, yellow and a bit white. I also sprayed with green Dylusions. Then I stenciled with ochre and stamped with different 3-D stamp paints and acrylics.
As I've bought this journal months ago, it's the old thing... for a new project - this is my entry for
Stampotique Designers Challenge - #80 Out with the Old, In with the New
And as I'm expecting some tea parties and a lot of unexpected adventures in 2013 I also join
Simon Says Stamp and Show - The totally mad (no rules) tea party...

:::CDT::: #45 All about Time

Today I've a second post for you. It's the 30th and so time for a new theme at Creavil. The year is nearly gone, so what's closer to come up with an All About Time challenge?! Think about clocks and wings.... Please come over to the Creavil challenge blog and be inspired by the DT pieces.
I've created the front page for my calendar. The background is colored with Original Rust - a new product available at Creavil. Really great to work with, if you're interested please take a look at this blog post  including a video from Dani. First of all I glued pieces of an old book page and some pieces of patterned vellum onto the background, then I sprayed with GlimmerMist and after it was dried I stamped a clock image with Archival. Then I brushed Modge Podge over the whole background. To get more texture I dry embossed with a clock embossing folder and wiped RubOns over the embossed areas. The steampunk reindeer is a new image from Creavil, I've stamped it with Pigment ink and clear embossed it.
I'm this calendar front page to the following challenge:
Paperminutes - #249 Happy New Year

:::FSC::: #38 Surprise Us

Wohow, it's the last sunday this year and so it's the last theme at Fashionable Stamping Challenges. This time my team mate Shirley comes up with Surprise Us, perhaps with new stash.... So it's up to you and we are looking forward to your entries. Come over to our challenge blog and be inspired by all the DT pieces.
Please keep in mind that we are a stamping challenge and that we want to see minimum one real stamp on your works... and... digis are absolutely not allowed.
For the background of this birthday card (15x15 cm) I used acryl paint and stamped with Brilliance on it. Then I used an embossing folder. The snowflakes are Sizzix Die Cuts. The filmstrip including the birthday wishes "zum Geburtstag alles Liebe" is stamped with Versamark and then embossed with White Embossing Puffs which look like snow.
I'm entering the following challenge
The Stamp Man - In the bleak mid winter

:::TIO::: #132 Behind Closed Doors

Wednesday again -and I come up with a sheduled post- it's time for a new recipe on Dragons Dream Tag It On. Today my team mate Blackdragon comes up with Behind Closed Doors and she wants to see A Door, A Key and A Lock on your tags. .... And of course at least one real stamp.
My tag has a front and two inside pages. The front page out of corrugated cardboard includes all the ingredients ;), but I thought that's a bit minimalist, so I made the inner pages. For the background I used Distress Stain (marbled technique), an embossing folder and Brilliance Moonlight White to enlighten the embossed areas. Before I embossed the background I stamped with Distress.
All images are from the Dr. Coffins Apothecary plate from Oxford Impressions.

:::CDT::: Advent Calendar

Once again I've worked with the Original Rust, indeed a great material. If you want to learn more about it, look at this video by Dani from Creavil.
Using this material and another brand new image from Creavil -the steampunk reindeer- I've created a card for the Creavil Advent Calendar.
First of all I glued an old book page onto a cardstock and let it dry. Then I took packing tape and peeled off some of the prints. The next step was to color this background with Original Rust using a baby wipe, great effect. Then I stamped some Christmas words with VersaMark and colored the areas with PanPastel. I also splattered with copper acrylics. The last step for creating the background was to distress the edges and to sponge the sides with Distress Dusty Concord,Tea Dye and Walnut Stain. I stamped the reindeer with Gathered Twigs and clear embossed it, then I sponged with several brown dye inks. As a special highlight I added MicaTiles which I colored with lavender pearl acrylics and then embossed with TH gadges and gears embossing folder.

:::TCB::: #12 Calendar Challenge 2013

Today I'm crossing another finishing line. It's the last theme for The Craft Barn Calendar Challenge and my December 2013 page. Embossing is the theme, either heat embossing or dry embossing or both.
This page is also a Design Team creation for the Creavil Ideen Blog, I've tested a new product, the Original Rust and used one of the brandnew images, the steampunk nutcracker.
First of all I colored the background with Original Rust - not with my fingers but with a baby wipe, then I sticked pieces of TH tissue tape onto it and stamped some gadget and gears with Archival Sepia. The next step was a dry embossing, then I wiped Brilliance Moonlight White and golden RubOns over the embossed areas. The nutcracker is stamped with Gathered Twigs and clear embossed, then I colored him with Distress refills.
I brushed Modge Podge over the background, put the clock and the clog hands onto it and brushed more Modge Podge over.

:::TCB::: #11 Calendar Challenge 2013

Circles, that's the theme for page #11 of the Calendar Challenge 2013 at The Craft Barn. As I'm going through the months #11 means November for me. I had to put my thinking cap on as I wanted to create a spooky Halloween page and normally I wouldn't have used any circle.
Firstly I stamped the graveyard with Pumice Stone and clear embossed it, then I sponged the background with Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmelade and Ripe Persimmon. The spider web is stamped with Dusty Concord. I dry embossed the circle with a spider web embossing folder and sponged it with Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves. The skull is stamped with Black Soot, clear embossed and sponged with Antique Linen. After I've sticked all pieces together I stamped some grungy circles with white 3-D stamp paint.

:::FSC::: #37 Mask It

It's time again for another theme on Fashionable Stamping Challenges. Today my team mate Claire comes up with Mask It, she asks for any masking technique. So, come over and be inspired by the works of the Fashionettes and start creating your own pieces, we are looking forward to your entries. But please keep in mind, that we are a stamping challenge and want to see at least one real stamp on your works... and digis are absolutely not allowed.
I stamped the flag and the axe with black Archival on a white cardstock and masked them. Then I colored the background with Distress stains and sprayed some GlimmerMist. After removing the masks I colored the flag and the axe with Distress refills.
This card is also a DT piece for Oxford Impressions, I used images from the Abraham Lincoln plate.

:::CDT::: #44 Silhouettes

Just a bit late for today's challenge #44 on Creavil. I was sure, that I've had sheduled this post.....
Silhouette images, that's the actual theme, there are many stamps which fit this theme... so, take a look into your stamps and select one ;) We cannot wait to see your creation and hope you'll enter the challenge.
I've stamped the pinetrees with Black Archival onto a white cardstock. Then die cut the pine tree and the leaves out of green cardstock. Afterwards I torn 2 pieces of Vellum, the first one I fixed onto the background and glued the trees onto it. The second vellum piece find it's way onto this trees. Over all I glued a Christmas ribbon. The stocking images from Creavil are stamped Archival Jet Black and colored with Polychromos.

Once again I worked with pieces of an old book page on the background. Then sponged with Distress inks and with 3 D stamp-paint through a stencil. :::TFJ::: #11 12 Tags of Christmas 2012

Only one more vintage cabinet card and than I will cross the final line. But today it's time for my version of Linda's tag #11. :::TFJ::: #10 12 Tags of Christmas 2012

Another vintage cabinet card for my Christmas decoration. I'm catching up the 12 Tags of Christmas 2012 challenge at Linda's The Funkie Junkie. It's my version of her tag #10 which you can see here. Read all about this challenge - which is sponsered by The Funkie Junkie Boutique - on her blog.
Lots of inspiration again. The bricked background, the felt tattered pinecone flower, the icicles border and more...
Writing this post I'm shocked ;) no stamping on this vintage cabinet card... no stamping... I cannot believe it :D It's because I used at least this Santa image from the Idea-ology Seasonal Paper Stash and not the stamped image, which I had in mind.
 I also join the vintage cabinet card into the following challenge:

Another month and time for a new theme on Vintage Stamping Challenge which is sponsered by Flonz Craft. This month my talented team mate Claire comes up with A Pocket Full Of Posies. So, think about flowers and show us your creations.
First of all I glued an old book page onto my background and then I pealed off some of the print with packing tape. Then I applied Distress Stains Brushed Corduroy, Shabby Shutters and Antique Linen onto my craft sheet, misted the background and swiped the surface through stains, dried it with the heat tool and swiped again until I was satisfied with the look. Using a stencil, DI Brushed Corduroy and a blending tool I blended the background to get more shades.
The main image is the Fashion Girl Fifties generously sponsered by Flonz Craft. The flowers are from my stash, I distressed the edges with DI Brushed Corduroy.
